Video of the consequences of the night shelling of the Antonovsky bridge on July 27, 2022.
We remind you that the Antonovsky bridge across the Dnieper River near Kherson is a strategic bridge connecting the right-bank and left-bank parts of the Kherson region.
As you can see in the video from the shelling site of the Antonovsky Bridge, the latter received significant damage, but did not collapse.
The movement of any transport in this state on the canvas of the Antonovsky bridge is impossible.
It takes at least a week to repair the Antonovsky Bridge in order to limit the movement of trucks after the shelling of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
In this case, it is possible to apply a frame reinforcing mesh with subsequent pouring of concrete, subsequently applying metal shields to distribute the load on the damaged section of the Antonovsky bridge.
Heavy armored vehicles will be able to pass along the Antonovsky Bridge only after a major overhaul and restoration of the integrity of the load-bearing structure.
Under the present conditions, a major overhaul of the damaged section of the Antonovsky Bridge is unlikely.
It is also reported that simultaneously with the shelling of the Antonovsky bridge, the railway bridge across the Dnieper in the Kherson region was shelled.
The extent of damage to the railway bridge is not yet known.
